Welcome to my Kitchen (2017 Fall Decor)

A new kitchen isn’t in the budget at this time so I am working with what I have already. I wanted shelves in the corner with a coffee station so I improvised by taking the cabinet door off to display my fall-toned mugs. I left the hinges on for interest. I just love different types of mugs. I added a few pumpkins and some berries for a special touch. On the counter I added some …

Fall 2017 Entrance Decor

I have a small entrance so the mirror gives it the illusion of extra depth.  The throw rug helps with dirty shoes and picks up the color of my carpet.  I have a lantern with a timer candle with a fall leaf spray and some acorns and small white pumpkins. Here’s a little before shot of what the lantern looked like before I added the fall touches. With Halloween approaching, I’ve added a spooky spider …

Fall 2017 Sunroom Decor

My sunroom is truly a room with a view. The windows on all sides of the room allow a glimpse of the lake that is located directly behind my house. My dream is to one day install a wood stove. Until then, I am using an electric fireplace. I’ve used four napkins to make a runner for the mantel. I’ve included some candle pumpkins and an owl is poking through. The lantern is decorated with …

Hello Fall! (Fall 2017 Front Porch Decor)

Well Hello Fall!  I’ts been a long year, and I’ve missed you. The metal bookshelf is all decked out to welcome fall into the house. The owls, scattering of pumpkins, leaf garland, and lantern convey the autumnal feel. And the lights running across the back add to the ambiance. Aww look at the lil baby owl just sitting there watching everything going on. I spend a lot of time on the front porch so I …

Fall 2017 Dining Room Decor

Today we move over to my dining room; specifically the buffet where my focal point is the large pitcher filled with olive branches. Placed in front of the pitcher is a pieced owl with a set timer candle inside. I just love when he’s all aglow at night. The lighted pattern dances off of the walls.  There is a pizza board and a swig of cotton behind the pitcher. Sitting in the middle of the …

Fall 2017 Living Room Decor (Part 2)

As you have probably noticed from my previous pictures, I don’t nod to anything other decorators do.  While I like things others have done, I have found that they don’t suit me. In the corner of my living room near my front entrance, I’ve placed a large pitcher and bowl filled with golden leaves, orange berries, and moss covered branches. The scent of cinnamon greets you as you enter the house from the cinnamon pine …

Fall 2017 Living Room Decor

I just love the fig color that is haute this year.  I used that as my inspiration for my living room this fall season. On my fireplace mantel, I am using a mercy etched pillar holder with a mercy catch pot.  There are a bunch of flowers and berries thrown in.  And the cutest plum pumpkin is the perfect touch. I don’t have a coffee table so I use my ottoman with a tray.  Keeping …
