Sunflower season🌻🌻💛💛

Well if you have been checking out online like I have, the stores are getting ready for the seasonal change that we all have been waiting for. Even Pinterest has been more about fall. I’m starting to make my way through my rooms and putting away memories of a wonderful summer. I know it’s not over for a long while. We will still be getting those hot humid days of summer. Ew! I bring out …

Finished Porch Project

A couple of weeks ago, I showed you a project that we were working on to redo our porch ceiling. We finished it, and I’m really very satisfied with the results. Here are some step-by-step pictures which show the progress. I added some curtains and plants; a twist and shout hydrangea which blooms from spring till fall. I love the color and the delicate petals. I don’t know about you but after a long winter, …

Inspired by Green Plaid

I love sitting out back. This view never gets old. This tree is amazing, and it only gets better with age. I bought this wreath from Michaels with a 50% off coupon bringing it to only $15. Next, I used some burlap from a different wreath and added two more burlap ribbons, one with polka dots and the other is a netting burlap, combined with some green ribbon to make a bow. Wow! What a …

Pink please💕

Pink is such a wonderful color. Everyone is going crazy this year with pink, and I don’t blame them. It has been a long time since pink has been so popular. 💕💕 I’ve just added a few touches go my sunroom. In front of my fireplace I have my wooden bird and a pink chair that I borrowed from my daughter. On the chair is a pretty pink pillow I just love it. 🌺🌺 The pink …

Baby Birds

The eggs have hatched! Oh look at the babies they are so cute 🐦🐦. The first picture is from two days ago, and this is from today. Now of course the mama doesn’t sit on them anymore, but she is close by. I was on my porch yesterday so the mother and father were conversing rather loudly. I guess they didn’t like me being outside. Well the weather is finally accepting that it’s spring. The …

Birds Nesting

Well it’s Friday, the start of the weekend. I’m going to be busy putting away Easter. Oh what fun! I really don’t want to because it’s so early, but goodbye Easter bunnies and Easter eggs and Easter baskets. Now changing the subject because this is what I’m dealing with. I haven’t bought any hanging flower baskets yet because it has been so cold here. The birds usually build their nests in them. Well momma bird …

Easter Table Done in Blue and White

Good Friday! Well no meat today so I’m thinking we’ll have salmon with vegetables on the grill since the weather has finally warmed up a little here. Here we are with a blue and white Easter table setting. The place setting is all vintage Pottery Barn. The little eggs 🐣 I put in the egg cups are new and on sale they were at 40% off. I just love it! My little belly bunny 🐰 …

Easter White

White can really make a statement. These white baskets are filled with brown paper shred. They have eggs with letters spelling happy Easter. I stayed with neutral color palette mainly with the only exception of having a couple of blue bows around the bunnies. The cream colored eggs are wooden that I’ve painted. Despite it being spring, it is still chilly so I have the fireplace going while I sit and dream about warmer weather …

Easter Vignette

The wisteria is such a delicate flower. It is so soft looking with its little petals cascading down to make a beautiful long cone-like flower. The wispy foliage makes a statement as it sways in the wind. I’ve used a lot of silver in this grouping from the mercury vase filled with faux white tulips to the mercury catch pot that has a fern in it. Oh and don’t forget the silver candle off to …
