White Blossoms for Easter

These white blossoms just scream spring. I tucked some blue easter grass into the mouth of the vase and tied a blue bow around it. The two wooden bunnies are watching over their egg. In the center of the buffet, the glass vase holds some purple Easter grass that compliments the lilac eggs. The feathers add some texture. The stained glass plate combines many shades of purple, silver, and blue brings together the vase with …

Wisteria Vine

OK, now understand, this is a project that should really have been done last year.  Finding someone to build something isn’t that easy.  Then the problem was that the foliage started to come in, and it was very hard to work around it.  So this had to be put off until now.  As you can see this had to be taken down.  The branch had started to wrap itself around my railing. So we had …

Pussywillows and Tulips 🌷🌷

As I do love purple and I like to add it in where ever possible. In this Tuscan vase I have tulips and pussywillows. The basket also has some pussywillows poking through and some white feathers. The lilac eggs in the basket are sitting on a bed of matching grass which is also sticking out of the Tuscan vase. There is some grass and feathers around the candle holders. Here on the chair the fur …

Egg-stra Purple Lantern

This cute lantern greets you as you come in the front door with a bunny and a large egg. I’ve added some purple grass and purple plastic eggs. On the top sits a sequined egg and some ribbon.  I love mixing ribbons together.  There are three different ribbons that make up this bow. Adding different color grass to a vase or bowl to go with your decor is a great way to add a little …

An Orchard Making a Statement

I just love this orchid. It’s vibrant color makes you want to get close to see if it is real. I am using it for the backdrop of this cute basket. I placed a little pot of tulips inside of it. Next, I added a little bunny. Then I placed a wooden egg that I painted with the paint from my living room wall and added some polka dots. Finally, I tied a blue ribbon …

A Bit O’ Green

In this corner of the kitchen I’m getting my green on for St. Patty’s Day with this great dish. I love the shading and the design. And don’t forget my little green man sitting with his pint of Guinness. In the background, there are some silk greens and some green lights to add to the look. And the little duck is really a candle, but I don’t light it because I don’t want to ruin …

Spring Green Sunroom

My sunroom fireplace mantel is very green for spring (and St. Patrick’s Day). This apple tree is an oldie but a goodie. I am thinking that it may be time to take it apart and repurpose it. There is a grape vine cone underneath all the apples and grapes. I can reuse those for something else next year. These two metal bird candle holders are vintage Pottery Barn. I also have a matching bird cage …

Blue Birds on Branches

I’ve continued the bird theme over on the buffet in my dining room. I told you that I love vases that I can use for every season. These beautiful green branches scream spring. Can you spy the little blue bird perched on a branch? The runner is a mellow yellow that picks up on the yellow of the eggs.  There is a feather wreath around bird dish and a metal tray off to the side again …
