Merry Christmas

Here are some pictures of inside the sunroom. Now remember it isn’t finished, but it is too close to Christmas to start any new projects. So I’m not patiently waiting to share until after the holidays. This is my favorite corner. As you can see, it’s waiting for me to come and snuggle up with a cup of coffee and a good book. I stayed with gray and white out here. I’ve always gone after …

Checks gone mad

Wow October the 5th already! Time seems to be moving real fast. All the stores are either all set up or in the process of getting all their Christmas goodies showcased. I do love it, I’m not going to lie. I am like a little kid in a candy store going from pillow to ornament to throw blanket. I am on the computer making lists and checking them twice and sometimes 3 times. I’m going …

Sunflower season🌻🌻💛💛

Well if you have been checking out online like I have, the stores are getting ready for the seasonal change that we all have been waiting for. Even Pinterest has been more about fall. I’m starting to make my way through my rooms and putting away memories of a wonderful summer. I know it’s not over for a long while. We will still be getting those hot humid days of summer. Ew! I bring out …

Ceramic Vase Dressed Up

Now to get the whole picture, this vase is 25″ tall and 14″ wide. So it is quite large. This is vintage Pottery Barn, and I do love using it for numerous occasions. It’s one of those things that they say you can dress up or dress down. Usually I have branches in it. Come back for Easter and see.  But today I only have a rose draped on it,.  Because this makes a statement on …

Welcoming Glow

I can’t believe that in just 2 days, January will be over. Then in 2 weeks, Valentine’s Day will be here. Then I get to decorate for spring. Well it’s not time for that yet so I may as well enjoy this holiday. I just love these vintage Pottery Barn vases. They are so big, and I can fit a lot in them to make a nice statement. As you can see there are roses …

Gray and Snowflakes

I’ve brought a touch of winter into my dining room using one of my favorite accent colors, gray, and some pieces from Pottery Barn. First, I started with this beautiful vintage Pottery Barn table runner.  The table runner shines with silver-beaded pine cones and bronze-hued branches. Second, I used a silver-rimmed plate as the base of the place setting. Next, I placed a dinner plate from the Emma Collection by Pottery Barn. A silver charger …

Plaid Sets the Stage for Fall

This Pottery Barn fig and gray plaid throw sets the stage for my Tuscan vase that takes the spotlight. The loropetulum branches add needed height and some additional color. A fig colored candle sits atop a matching pillar holder surrounded by natural toned pebbles. I followed my own advice and incorporated some natural elements into the scene by the way of acorns, golden hued oak leaves, and pine cones. A large moss ball draws your …
