A new kitchen isn’t in the budget at this time so I am working with what I have already. I wanted shelves in the corner with a coffee station so I improvised by taking the cabinet door off to display my fall-toned mugs. I left the hinges on for interest. I just love different types of mugs. I added a few pumpkins and some berries for a special touch. On the counter I added some candles, a gourd, and berries. My cutting boards are displayed with a white pitcher and some cattails with leaves.
Off to the side I have a cheese grater, cutting board and rolling pin. I filled the glass canister with corn kernels and a candle.
When you enter the kitchen, the first thing that catches your eye is the corner with a red ceramic urn placed on top of a matching bowl. I accented it with a grapevine garland that has bittersweet winding through it with orange lights.
I have been thinking of replacing the caramel colored candles with a barn red candle. Do you think it would be too much red?
