For every new family that is just getting started, now is the time to start creating your own traditions and memories. Each and every moment will be passed down for generations. It’s time for everyone to put down their electronic devices. Go for a walk in the woods. Find a new trail to explore. It doesn’t cost any money to go to the park or for a walk around your neighborhood.
Your children will learn about the changing seasons and enjoy what Mother Nature has created for us. See what treasures your little ones can find. Collect acorns, berry branches, pine cones and leaves. Bring them home and challenge your children’s imagination to see what decorations they can make out of their finds. The natural beauty of autumn makes for the perfect touch to any home decor.
I created these memories and traditions with my own children more than 40 years ago. It warms my heart to now see my children repeating these traditions with my grandchildren.
Whether your little ones are babies and toddlers or teenagers, get out there and enjoy a little Mother Nature and family time together.
