Your dinner guests, mortal or immortal, will be haunted by this beautiful Halloween place setting.
I’ve layered a black rattan charger beneath a black and white scroll dinner plate. Next, I’ve placed a white salad plate on top. Finally, a pumpkin bowl used for soup finishes the look.
On the top right, a smoky black goblet sits with an off-white napkin folded inside. I glued slate colored gems to the corner of the napkins as a decorative touch. After writing a cute message, I tied a chalkboard name tag to the stem with some ribbon.
I arranged fresh cut flowers from my garden in a mercury vase to add a colorful flair to the table. I picked up the purple mums years ago from my local farmer’s market for $5. At the time they were quite small. With the proper care, they have now grown and are quite huge.
To have a candlelit dinner, I inserted a tea light inside of a skull.. I repurposed an old purple floral scarf to use as a table runner. Because it is on the shorter side, I ran it across the table instead of up and down. I love the pop of color it adds.
I noticed that a lot of stores are using gray a lot this year for Halloween. When the gray dishes go on sale, I’ll make sure to buy some for next year. I’m already planning next Halloween’s decor.
