This mercury Christmas tree is surrounded by faux snow. I placed a red timer candle inside to achieve a glowing effect. A set of string lights would also work. I added some real candles, a bowl of silver bulbs, and a mixture of large green balls and small red balls. Next, I added some silver polar bears and a frosty snowman.
It’s funny that years ago I was addicted to gold, and I didn’t use silver at all. Now with all the mercury-toned things out, I have a new addiction. It was slow coming, but it is here. And now that it is acceptable to mix metals, I’m in my glory. This is also a good lesson on why you should never throw things away. They usually always come back in style.
