Fluffing Pillows

I started putting away my winter pillow covers.  I have boxes like this to put them in so they stack nicely in my guest bedroom closet. Since I’ve downsized I am limited for storage space because I only have a garage and no basement.

I do tend to gravitate toward pillow covers. Laying them flat does help for next year so I won’t have to steam them. Now, I’m not saying that I don’t have regular decorative pillows that are already stuffed. I do like many of them, but it has to be love in order for me to want to find the room to store it.

Another tip for feather inserts, I put them in the pillow cover. Then I throw them in the dryer for about 5 minutes on low heat. That fluffs the feathers, and the pillow comes out full. Last, but not least, you can stick some cotton batting in the ears ( corners) of the pillows.

If anyone out there has some more ideas, please feel free to let me know . Have fun fluffing.
